I don't know about that (still don't have a strong opinion about it), but what makes me wonder why do paparazzi want ot pay so much for baby pictures.
I think most men would rather see pics of naked celebrities than of their babies

I don't think it's a big deal. You're a celebrity and your fans are interested in seeing pics. It's just a way to introduce the little one or
ones. It doesn't harm the kids in any way and it keeps the paparazzi from stalking for that very excusive pic.
I think it's good that celebs do the magazine spreads so that media doesn't hunt them down for pictures. But, to me, it's not necessary for them to
get paid. Ok, put the pics in a magazine to introduce the child and everything, but it's weird that they get money and negotiate a price like a business
deal. Magazines should definitely pay for hair/makeup, clothing, and expenses, but celebrities shouldn't get excess money.

Legendary actress Meryl Streep has hit out at celebrity parents who sell pictures of their newborn children for cash.
The Oscar winner is appalled whenever she hears about a star bargaining for media cash over baby photos, even if the cash is for charity.
The mother-of-four insists children's privacy is too valuable to sell snapshots to the highest bidder.
Streep says, "One thing I learned very early on is when you're famous, you lose your right to privacy. And, if you promote your
children, if you have them photographed, then they lose their rights."
"But, if you do not have them photographed and (do not) sell them to OK! magazine, they have the
right to... privacy and citizenship."
"They (paparazzi) can follow me, take a picture, whatever they want to do. My kids, no."
In recent months, Hollywood mums Jessica Alba, Jamie-Lynn Spears and Jennifer Lopez have released exclusive photos of their newborns in
financial agreements with celebrity magazines.
It is reported that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are currently negotiating a $15 million deal for the exclusive photos of their newborn
twins.

I'm just going to add that as a fan of Jen and Marc's I was DELIGHTED to see pics of Emme and Max. Anyone else I really don't care about. It really is, and should be a
personal preference of the parents. If other celebs disagree that's their business not to do it. I do agree that the money paid is ridiculous. lol
Celebrities usually get lots of money for photoshoots and interviews, and its their children,so its cool with me that they can sell baby pictures. Its not like
they are selling baby souls lol,its just pictures.

I guess its the concern that babies like Emme & Max will never be able to do their own thing without the world knowing. Maybe they'll like it, maybe
they won't. But I can't complain because I looooove E&M pics! lol
But I don't think puting their newborn pics in a mag automatically means they won't have their private lives.
I mean, just being the child of a celebrity virtually guarantees that you will be reported on. I don't think selling the magazine pics has anything to do
with that.
In US Weekly recently they talked about one of the Beckham boys and how he had a crush on Kate Beckinsale's daughter. That must be mortifying for a kid in
elementary or middle school.

no but after they should not complain that paps are taking picture of their kids.
I disagree there. Having your kids photographed with your permission is totally different than having paparazzi invading your privacy and getting pics to sell.
I mean they are your kids and you have the right to say yay or na about anything when it comes to them.

Actually, I agree with Nadia. I think selling the pictures opens up the can of worms even more and if you're going to do that, which is fine, then you have
to give in to the fact you let the world in and now they want more. But it really depends I guess. Jen and Marc sold the photos, cutting out the need for car
chases at death speeds, and we've only seen E&M once since February. That's not too bad.
But I don't think puting their newborn pics in a mag automatically means they won't have their private lives.
No, of course not. But look at kids like Violet Affleck or Maddox...they are photographed CONSTANTLY. I think they're kinda screwed forever, no matter
what.
They are photographed that way because their parents go places where they know they will be photographed. The twins, for example, won't be photographed if
Jen and Marc don't want them to be because they live in LI, not Hollywood. Of course some shots will still get out because the photogs are relentless, but
we won't see pics every day.
I think that happens in general. I can't stand when celebs bitch about being followed, because they court the attention. The live in Hollywood and go to
places where they know people will take pictures.

Yes, I agree with that. Like Lindsay Lohan, stop going to celebrity grocery stores and the Ivy, lol.
I think some people truly can't help it - as much as Angie and Brad drive me nuts, even giving birth to Shiloh in Ethiopia or Venus or whereveer the hell
she was born didn't stop the attention. I'm sure they could finesse it if they tried, but at the same time, I think they're damned if they do
damned if they don't.
I don't really swing either way on this debate...selling pictures and courting attention is the name of the game, and there's something really morally
wrong about it, but at the same time, its part of the job so...I don't know. I can't judge, lol.
I'm just pissed I can't sell my future kids' pictures for $5 million.
I think Meryl Streep should shut up on this one. I haven't seen many pics of her kids b/c the paps don't follow her around like they do other celebs in
recent years. It's a different story when you have completely lost your own privacy, let alone that of your kids, which she hasn't.
