We have like three Starbuck coffee shops here and they just built one INSIDE my school library.
I have no idea if that's part of Starbuck's
charm but have any of you seen a Starbuck coffee shop in a weird place?

Curious: Are Starbuck coffee restaurants usually located in weird places? |

Okay, here's the skinny on Starbucks. The ones that are located in Barnes & Noble, Target, Kroger, student unions and other grocery stores, etc. are not owned by Starbucks. They are owned by that store, they just bear the name. Which sucks because I can't use my discount at any of these stores. Even with this not being part of Starbucks, I think it's still too many surrounding each other. This is partially why we went through that 600 store closure. Brooke, I think the Starbucks in your student union may be owned by Starbucks. I can't think right off hand because I haven't been there in a while. Next time if you go to that one, ask them if you can use (hypothetically) "your" partner numbers there for a discount. If they say, "No", then they're owned by some management of the school. |

My school one wasn't a real Starbucks. I couldn't use my gift cards there.

My old university had one on campus. It was a full-service real Starbucks. My current university is spread out in the middle of downtown Toronto so I can't
walk 3 feet without tripping over a Starbucks.
We have them EVERYWHERE. There are 2 just one side of the street when I walk to the subway (5 blocks away). lol |

It almost made me sad when I found Starbucks in Germany, lol. I mean it suits us North Americans perfectly, but in Europe I'm like, why can't I sit and
have a cappucinno for 3 hours every day??!! I like that attitude better.

^ I agree.
Here at home I don't visit Starbucks so often. But when I'm travelling in Northern America it's kind of 1st adress for me. |
