Jennifer Lopez is reportedly set to take action against The Daily Beast website for publishing quotes about her having a 'nervous breakdown'.
The Jenny From The Block hitmaker was being interviewed by Elle magazine's Kevin Sessums when she opened up about feeling blue after the Cesarean birth of twins Max and Emme and being 'overworked'.
"At the tenth day after giving birth all that chemical stuff did peak - that hormone thing - and I did cry a lot that day because I was having so much trouble moving," she is reported to have said.
Talking about a stressful time in the past, during filming of 2002's Enough, when she was "doing music and movies and so many things", Jennifer is said to have admitted she had "a kind of nervous breakdown".
According to New York Post gossip column Page Six, the photo shoot and interview were pitched to Lopez as "a fashion discussion about a woman who had new babies and was doing it all."
But she was portrayed as a "weepy, fragile new mother," prompting to Lopez to withdraw comments because she wasn't "comfortable with the questioning," says her rep.
"We're very unhappy about it, and think it was poor judgment on his [Sessums] part," the spokesperson says. "As long as we have represented Jennifer, we have never heard her refer to having a breakdown of any sort."
Despite her request, the entire interview has appeared on The Daily Beast.
"The story accurately reports what Kevin Sessums learned from Ms Lopez in his interview," a spokesperson for the site tells Access Hollywood. "He owns the story and The Daily Beast was happy to publish it."
Lopez's team have now sent a legal letter to the website.
