Obviously she really wanted to make this movie. She's talked about it for years.
But, she can't control it and neither can we. It's insignificant to us, but to her it's a huge part of her life/career. So, I figure, if it
doesn't happen, there's a reason why, you know? But that just depends on your own personal beliefs.

I wouldn't count the movie out just yet. She has got Don Roos (the director/writer) of L&OIP involved with TG. So she is interested in working with him
and he is listed as a producer of TG.
It is believeable that they reached a dead end with the funding of L&OIP and decided to do something about it and do it through a different production
house. But in the mean time she had a commitment with Yari Film Group to do TG in the fall (SAG waiver etc)
So she may still to do it but after TG. I wouldn't see her giving up on something she has been waiting to do for two years.
she has mentioned L&OIP in very recent interviews so it would appear only in the last few weeks that something has happened to stop it like funding.

^ Yeah I read an inteview with Christian Bale recently in GQ and he was talking about a few indie movies he had been in where they kep promising the money for
it - then moving it back a month - then a few months.
Jen has her own commitments. I think its more difficult the fact that she juggles movies and music. I really think the Sony-Bmg just told her that they are
relasing a greatest hits this year for their own profits. So if she wants to be involved she has to work on it to be ready to promote this fall.
I don't think she could tell Sony-Bmg to delay her G.Hits to work on L&OIP she has probably just run out of time with the project for the moment.
^ and i think Christian Bael is talkinkg about the movie he's suppose to do with the Yari Group they don't have much money and they haven't been
able to release most of their movie this year, so i even wonder if they will be able to do "the governess" but if they can well good for them lol
Imo she should focus on one carrer and still do the other but less, having a big carrer in music and movies never work too long. (Madonna.. Will smith..)

I wouldn't say exactly that it hasn't worked for her. She's a multi millionaire.
I love her movies, but I also love all the exciting other things that she does. That's what makes her more interesting to me than a lot of other celebs.

i didn't mean that it hasn't worked, i said that it doesn't work too long, having the music and movie carrer as big as the other

Madonna had to stop acting because she never got taken seriously as an actress. The type of criticsm Jen gets as an actor is whether the role is good or the
movies is good with Madonna she had to get past the barrier that she could even act first. For me that is two different types of criticsm.
Will Smith's music career was more like a novelty with songs like Men In Black, Wild West etc etc. Regardless that he said he gave up music to concentrate
on film his music career was never like Jen's.
Thats what I like about her is that she is successful in both music & film.

As long as she enjoys doing both I think she should continue. I do think doing Spanish music might be a better way to go though if she continues her music

Aren't you an artist? I'd think that you, of all people, would be against conforming.
I love the fact that she goes out there and does what she wants and doesn't give a crap about what anyone says.

I don't think she does it because people say she can't. I think it motivates her, though, when she wants to do something and people tell her she
can't or shouldn't.
