I actually would find it cool if she was de-glammed in general. Emilia Greenleaf has been a grieving hermit for a year at the beginning of the story. I doubt she looks like a photoshoot-ready-Jennifer.

Also from what i've read of the script it's almost the same thing Don Roos didn't change many stuff, but that could have changed, because i think we have the first draft of the script. Four weeks is not enough time to film a movie. Unless she plans on filming two movies at the same time. Lame. Really lame.
