Jen has proved herself already, she is not doing this to enhance her image but she is doing this to be involved in the community to help and speak about what she knows and what she thinks may help. No one is saying her reason for doing it is to enhance her image. Of course she doing it because she wants to be involved. The point is that maybe people who didn't have a very high opinion of her would really see what kind of person she really is, caring and giving, and not some selfish diva person as she is sometimes portrayed and written about.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, investor Warren Buffett, U2 singer Bono and attorney and author Caroline Kennedy are among the speakers confirmed for Maria Shriver's Women's Conference 2008 at the Long Beach Convention Center. The California first lady announced the lineup of speakers from government, business and entertainment at 12:30 p.m. today. "I am honored to again be hosting what has become the nation's premier forum for women, where the world's greatest hearts and minds convene every year to empower women to find a common purpose, be united by a shared conversation, and see themselves as a collective `we,"' Shriver said in a statement. Among the 50 speakers are broadcast journalist Christiane Amanpour, athlete Lance Armstrong, actresses Sally Field, Jennifer Lopez and Jenny McCarthy, actor Michael J. Fox, model Heidi Klum, commentator Chris Matthews, hip-hop legend Russell Simmons and feminist pioneer Gloria Steinem. "This year, I am urging women to take time to explore their deepest hopes and aspirations, and I hope they leave the conference with a better sense of just who they want to be - and the knowledge of how to get there," Shriver said.
