No - kids aren't included under their parents' passports anymore. There is too much fraud and its some kind of custody/kidnapping law as well. I asked
my mom - she works with that stuff every day.

Seriously? Why on earth would infants at 4 months have their own passports though? For starters, how can they get a passport photo??

They don't have photos, just their names and birthdates and the rest of it. Granted, I'm talking about Canadian customs, but I can't imagine the US
is any different since our borders are BFFs. Babies/kids used to be able to be under their parents names' (I was until I was like 5 or something) but then
its too easy to just take your kid and peace out, living your ex-husband wondering where the hell Timmy is.
I'm seriously curious about this so I'm gonna call my mom later and get the 411 on baby passports, lol. She'll be like WTF? Let's all just imagine little pink and blue passports with unicorns and stars on them that say Max & Emme Lopez-Muniz...awwwww! |

I'm almost positive that babies need passports now.

Yes, they do. I called my mom to confirm, and she was like "Who do you know has a 4 month old baby and needs a passport?!" and I didn't want to
say Jen because the reason for my phone call was weird enough, lol.
It's called the "1P1P" rule - 1 Person, 1 Passport. Babies' passports don't have pictures, but they do require one for international travel. |

In the US infants are required to have a passport and one with a picture.

^Infants have always need passports though. It's not something that has come about recently because of the heightened security.

Not only do they need a passport with a photo, they must also apply in person with their parent.

They're really picky about pictures. Minimal makeup, no glasses, etc etc. A few years ago I was traveling to the US and I got questioned and had to show
other photo ID because my hair was blonde in the picture and black in person.
My little sister had a passport when she was a baby. She didn't have a picture though, I guess legislation has changed since then. |

I just don't think they'll get stamps into their passports travelling inside the EU - there's usually just a short glimpse to the passports and
they'll let you pass.

Only if you are from the EU do they do that. If you are not, you get stamps. Even when just crossing through. I have a stamp from Schiphol in Amsterdam and I
was only catching a connecting flight.
There is no way a foreign passport gets a look and gets let through, lol. It doesn't work like that. |
