Thanks Heather. I always thought that Salma started it when she said that Jen wasn't 'Latin' enough. NOPE!
I read excerpts from this interview a while back, but they only focused on what she said about Wynona & Gwen Paltrow, they never put the Salma part in it: "We're in two different realms. She's a sexy bombshell and those are the kinds of roles she does. I do all kinds of different things. It makes me laugh when she says she got offered Selena, which was an outright lie. If that's what she does to get herself publicity, then that's her thing. Columbia offered me the choice of Fools Rush In or Anaconda, but I chose the fun B-movie because the Fools script wasn't strong enough."

lol and you can see that Salma doesn't really like Jen, when she was in France with Penelope they asked her what she think of Jen she said 'she's
jenny from the block that's all i have to say' when Penelope said really nice things about Jen. That was in january 2007 but since then i've read a
couple of interviews where she mention Jen and says nice stuff.

^Yeah it did happen me and Heather talked about it a while back Rupert Everitt in his auto biography said it happened.
This is my favourite bit in Movieline: Jen is very gangster!! I wonder if she got her revenge? Riffing on how she's been treated by the press, Lopez declares, "There are certain people that are marked for death already. I have my little list of journalists that have treated me unfairly. Like, I was totally happy, totally confident with my work in Selena, but out of the 700 reviews - and I read every single one - I can quote the one who said, "The one thing you don't do when you walk out of this movie is say, 'Who's that girl?' I was like, 'You lying bitch!' When another person from that same magazine came up to me, the first thing I said to her was, 'You tell that other bitch that writes for your magazine that I'm never talking with her again.' I definitely have my list of people that are going to get their justice." |

about the TLC show. They're a match made in heaven..lol.. I think that Jen has cleaned herself up when it comes to INTERVIEWS but behind the scenes,

She's on the rise, but Jennifer Lopez is from New York. She's Puerto Rican. No, she's not. Her grandparents, her parents, yes. But her Spanish is very bad. She's a very good actress, and a very hardworking woman from New York. Now it's convenient, because when she has to be Latin, she's Latin. But Out of Sight was not about a Puerto Rican, you know; it was about a cop from New York. Ah...Is there any truth to the rumor that there's a rift between you and Jennifer? A riff? No, a rift--a divide, like a fight. Oh, no. I'm glad you clarified that.

Despite our bias towards Jennifer, Salma does have a point. Jennifer's been very versatile with her acting roles because her ethnicity isn't
overwhelming. Salma couldn't play a typical Anglo-American, so that's pigeonholed and restricted her options. Luckily, Jennifer has never used her
Latin-status to gain credibility and admiration while suppressing it in inconvenient times; it just happens that she was part of the Latin Explosion ('99),
so she was part of the reason being Hispanic is now "hip" and "cool".

I don't know about that. I mean, yeah, Jennifer is waay more popular but I liked Frida more than El Cantante.
 Don't get me wrong, I love Jen but I
wish she'd get roles that other actresses are easily getting. Actresses like Reese Witherspoon (except for that Heaven movie) or Cate Blanchette. I
obviously don't mean the roles they played (Dylan, Walk the Line) but roles good enough that Jen can pull off.
