'Beyond the Runway' style is good, i was thinkin' 'Diary' on MTV, but that format was more personal than business.

Yeah, I'm picturing it as something like Beyond The Runway. You saw her hang out at home a little, but she was still working, you know?
I love documentary style reality shows. I'm a total sucker for that stuff. I'll watch them on any subject. My new favorite is the one on Discovery with the crab fishermen- Deadliest Catch. |

I like documentary-style shows too. TLC and Discovery Health are great for those. I'd also like to add, and Jess mentioned this earlier, look at how successful the People Magazine "personal" inside her home with her family interview was. People want to see that side of her. They didn't have to buy the magazine but they did. They just could have read it in the store, but they didn't. Mix that in with business and this could be a real hit for her. Yes, exactly. I think Jen knows she needs to put out what she knows will be successful at this point. Like so many of you say all the time, she needs a hit, and this could really be it for her. People LOVE her personal life...she's contributed to that, but she's also just got some kind of weird spark that fascinates the world. This way, she can control what's put out there and it's also a perfect vehicle for promoting her projects. |

I really think it's going to be more about her businesses as opposed to her personal life, but we'll probably get glimpses of it, you know?I hope so ! I loved 'Beyond Runaway'  She's going to be everywhere again with this show

i still think that it's the last thing she needed, i bet she's gonna get even less movie offers which important director will want a reality star (even
if she's not just that) in their movie ? none.

Of course it affects her family. They didn't ask for any of the attention. Their business is splashed on the covers of magazines, and so are their
pictures. They didn't choose that career- Jennifer did. And yet, they still get the attention. Instead of being individuals and being known for their own
lives and accomplishments, they're "Jennifer's mom and dad".
Negative publicity obviously negatively affects careers. Directors and casting agents read the same papers we do, lol. I don't think that this show will automatically set her back in terms of critical success. I really think you guys are buying into the stereotypical concept of a reality show, where the stars are making idiots of themselves for publicity. It's described as a docu-series, so it's going to be a documentary that is aired as a series. If they follow her around as she's working and doing her thing, everyone will see her commitment and dedication to her work. Jen always says that people have these preconceived notions that she's a diva and she's not a hard worker. This will show everyone (including directors) that she does her work and she does it well. You guys are selling her short by assuming it's going to be a trashy reality show.

I agree with you that the fact she is the exec producer means she will have a lot of control and the proudcers can't spin it. I agree the network sounds repsectable. I do still suspect it will be like MTVRunway and that what I didn't like was the idea of reality and motherhood/babies on camera.

at the moment we are really just discussing the concept of a reality show with Jen in it, we really don't have the full details yet.For me it's enough details to know that I'm excited about ait nd it's not going to be some trashy low class show. My point is I trust in Jen enough to know that she's a very strong business women and that she very guarded now in her personal life and with mixing of little of both in the show will be done with the utmost care. I don't see any of these hurting a chances of critical movie success. This is Jen guys. She started out with nothing and if she didn't have the guts to try new and different things, she would not be where she is today in terms of wealth and status. Right now this is something new and fresh, if it works great, if it doesn't, it doesn't. It's her life, her choice. I also look at it this way. She's married, settled and rich with two beautiful babies. She doesn't have to work another day in her life if she doesn't want to. I'm going to appreciate and enjoy whatever she puts out there especially because I know these are things she really wants to do. |

I actually quite like her but thought she came off crap. Its all subjective at the end of the day people can view things in different ways. In the UK people
