I was surprised to read this here (twice). Jmo - I admire the Jolie-Pitts for their donations. But I have greater admiration 4 those who quietly give and do so over the course of their lives. Some philanthropists won't permit $-amounts to be revealed until after they're deceased.

There's other ways to care about the planet and each other. I wouldn't assume the J-P way is the only way, or the best way. Children are individuals, and all of them are going to become preteens and teenagers. Will there be time to recognize and deal with individual interests and concerns? How will her estrangement from their grandfather affect them? How many siblings will they have?

For all the hype and speculation about Jen and Marc's tastes or shopping, when they promote a charity, for example, I think they're the ones who come across as down-to-earth and sincere, not preachy or superior.
